New Orleans Silversmiths was founded in 1938 and is still in operation. Today they specialize in contemporary and antique silver and gold jewelry, but in the past were known to sell silver bars that appear to be out of the common “Doyle’s Molds”.

The Dingeldein family’s long tradition of metal work and silver manufacture, both in Germany and the U.S., is well documented.[2][3] The present owners acquired the business in 1966 and for many years it has been located near the center of the French Quarter, the oldest part of the city.[4] The shop handles new and estate silverware and jewelry.
New Orleans Silversmiths is a family-owned business that sells silver products.[5] New Orleans Silversmiths’ signature items are cocktail shakers, corkscrews, sterling silver animals and antique jewelry such as Fleur de Lis jewelry.[6]
